one stop office supplies
How long will it take to get my milk supply to dry up?

My son is 11 months and I know I should have waited one more month, but I’ve been working and pumping since he was three months. Its been really hard and I don’t have my own office. I decided to start giving him formula during the day and breastfeeding at night . I have to go in and have a MRI and I figured I would stop a month early. It has been one week and two days. I tried cabbage, and the pills are not safe. Is there anything natural I can do to help?

Hand express the milk until you don’t feel engorged but, stop as soon as you feel like you are not going to explode. It took me a few weeks of doing this on a daily basis and then every few days, then once a week. All in all, I think it took almost 2 months before I didn’t have that heavy got to go pump feeling.
The most important thing is that you relieve some of that pressure or you may get a blocked duct and that is painful. I had a few of those when I weened (thought I had breast cancer).
